Dr. Carolyn Trasko.

I help adult men and women, who are experiencing chronic stress, due to trauma or a life-changing medical diagnosis, improve their ability to cope and boost their immune system. I support them from feeling overwhelmed to feeling hopeful while guiding them to an empowered mental health and wellness journey.

As a doctor of Mind-BAbout Dr. Carolyn Traskoody Medicine, I focus on the relationship between emotions, the mind, and physical health.  I capitalize on my 30 years of clinical experience to help you develop a personalized, lifestyle plan to restore balance in your life. I do this by utilizing a root-cause perspective that focuses on the integration of mind, body, brain, and spirit. My clients are trying to let go of all the beliefs and difficult feelings that no longer serve them.  They are working on changing how they feel about their situation, they want to feel less depressed, and less overwhelmed.  They are often struggling to get out from under the feelings of desperation, hopelessness, and negative self-talk that leave them feeling a lack of confidence that they can overcome their experience. They want to believe that whatever is happening to them has some greater meaning or purpose. They want to let go of their limiting beliefs, their fear of change, and the feeling of not being in the driver’s seat in their own health journey.

By working with me, my clients experience, a “knowledge is power” perspective that takes complicated and often overwhelming information from psychology, neuroscience, evolutionary biology, and medicine and focuses on cutting through the hype and presenting it in a more user-friendly way. My clients learn the difference between healing versus curing. They become fascinated and inspired by their own nervous system, brain, and the resilience of their human spirit.  They increase their self-awareness, improve the relationship between their mind and body, and connect to their sense of purpose. They tap into the innate wisdom in their mind, body, brain, and spirit to heal themselves from the inside out and identify the potential underlying root causes of their underlying illness or disease.  By working through whatever is holding them back from being their authentic self, they experience more happiness, more peace, and more self-confidence in their own ability to make the necessary changes in their life to improve their health and wellness. Through this process, and their commitment to invest in themselves, they become their personal best, despite being diagnosed with chronic health issues, thereby improving their vitality.

All of my educational, clinical, and experiential training has resulted in earning my Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine, a Master’s Degree and License in Clinical Social Work, and national certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP). But, what is most important to me, and what I feel truly blessed about, is how in the 30 years I have spent doing this work, I have witnessed the resilience of the human spirit. It has been a driver for me, pushing me always to learn more, to continue to improve my own skills as a healer-practitioner. My own personal mission is to help more people experience empowered mental health, have a voice in their lives, and to shine their light into the world.  I am deeply passionate about this work, for me it is a true calling.  What lights me up, is being able to witness transformational healing in my clients! And full disclosure, I completely geek out on all the amazing ways that our mind, body, and spirit connect and communicate together! I’m CONSTANTLY on the lookout, for interesting ways to share this information with my clients so it can light them up too!!
